    Presenter Short Biography

    Simon brings a passion for technology and innovation as well as broad industry experience from his 18+ years of working in Enterprise IT.

    Since joining Microsoft in 2008 after 8yrs at IBM, Simon drove specialist sales into the UK Government around Communications & Collaboration. Simon then went on to run and manage the Justice Sector business in the UK. Here the focus was firmly on modernizing the Sector and driving digital efficiencies through adoption, change management and a design led approach to solutions. The outcomes of this invariably turned to Cloud technologies for the benefits they could quickly realize. During this time Simon drove key UK Government projects such as the “eJudiciary” project, digitization of all the Crown Courts in the UK as well as the complete modernization of the UK Supreme Court.

    In 2014 Simon moved into his current role as the Public Sector Industry Lead for Middle East and Africa (MEA). Brining his experiences from the UK to the region the focus is on evangelizing Microsoft strategy in Government and the adoption of Cloud to drive digital transformation. At a time when IT is moving and developing so quickly this also includes helping Governments understand and overcome the challenges, as well as maximize the benefits, associated with these technology shifts. In this capacity Simon remains close to the developments in the legal & Justice space and is a founding member of the Courts of the Future Forum
